Skanks at the Water Park

Today I decided to go to Knott's Soak City, which is a water park here in Southern Cali with my son, sister and niece.  Now this is a family friendly attraction but some of what I see walking around here is either mild porn with an occasional, "What in the HELL was she thinking?".
Now, when you have kids around in any given situation, a thong is not appropriate. Not even if you are wearing a lace cover up! How did they get past the front gate? Is there not a "No Skankiness" dress code here?
As I look at the other mom's faces as Skank 1 and Skank 2 walk by, the "WTF" look crosses their faces as they turn their sons the other way and slap their husbands upside the head for looking at the Skanks.
I mean really, does someone have to explain what is and what isn't appropriate swimmingly attire at a water park?
Maybe I can slide the Skanks my card so that they can check out my blog. There just may be hope for them after all!!!

    var ga = document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true;
    ga.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? 'https://ssl' : 'http://www') + '.google-analytics.com/ga.js';
    var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(ga, s);

  1. Maybe you should do a post with pictures where you show us what skank attire looks like. I can imagine, but I don't want to.

  4. The world has changed! If they will wear anything at church, what do they care about a theme park. They came there to be seen. www.blackconvo.com

  5. I have been in that situation also with my son. I am lucky that he is to young just yet to understand the reason why when I see one "of those girl" I steer him in the opposite direction. Really, what goes through their minds when getting ready to go to a "family" water park. It does not mean they need to ware a "mommy suit" but really.. if someone can use what you are waring as floss then it is NOT ENOUGH, and covering with something see through is pointless.. really..

  6. "does someone have to explain what is and what isn't appropriate swimmingly attire at a water park?"

    Short answer...Yes!

    Long answer: Some people have no regard for themselves or others. They have no tact and know no boundaries. It's sad, but it's the reality of the world we live in. Everyone just isn't of sound mind.

  7. There should be a dress code for water parks. No butts or nipples thanks. It's a family place, not a topless beach in France!

    Related: I went to pick up my sister from freshman orientation (high school not college) and some of the girls were wearing what can only be classified as bikini tops. Others had on bras and a see-through shirt. Unbelievable! Whatever happened to covering up?!

    1. I don't know and it's funny that you say that about the orientation because I went to a jazz festival yesterday and there were women walking around with these lace shirts with their bras showing. Where did this style come from?

  9. I think every place needs a dress code now as well as a code of conduct. Unfortunately, all these things need to be regulated b/c people have no common sense or decency. Sheesh!

Lol I can't explain it thought it was HOT... yes even though I knew that it was not something I would wear in my mom's presence. It happened once I know better am doing better.

  11. I totally agree...Some people must not have mirrors..And seriously, if my girl dresses like a skank - ever - she will not be allowed out of the house...because lets face it - there are a lot of 13 -14 year old want-a-be skanky kids out there!!

  13. Sad that some people just don't get it. I use those women as an example to my sons of what not to bring home.

  15. HAHA! You're hilarious! I totally agree with if you got it flaunt it! BUT if you want to dress like a skank do it on the corner not at a public place especially where children will be #idiotskanks

  16. That's hilarious! Water parks are usually great family vacations but my kids shouldn't be subject to that. I thought most water parks have a dress code but I guess not. Thank you for sharing this story with us, it was entertaining and I'm sure everyone can relate.

  21. I feel your pain. Thankfully, I have all boys! I don't have to go through the stages of little girls trying to be grown. A few years ago I was at one of my son's PTO meetings at the very beginning of the year. Now mind you my son was in 5th grade at the time. Everyone was assembled in the gym when in walks this little girl no older than ten dressed in some hoochie mama shorts and wearing make up. I told another mother that I would beat my youngan before she would walk out of the house like that... not ten seconds later the little girls mama come in behind her looking just like her. So I guess they got dressed together. Some folks have no morals these days. They don't care when, where or how they flaunt it. I think I would have complained to the management at the water park.

    New follower from That Friday Blog Hop. I hope you are having a great Labor Day weekend and the skanks are at bay!

    1. These little girls look like grown women. SMH! I can't imagine a mother allowing her daughter to come to school like that but if the mother looks the same, she she be ashamed of herself.
